8minutes was formed on a saterday day-job and started in 2006 after building their own studio in Streefkerk, the Netherlands. Music of the 4-headed band can best be described as melodic rock. The piano brings in a classical colour to the music, combined with the hard-to-label voice of Josia Bikker (vocals/piano), the sensitive strings of Aart de Bruijn (guitar), the unimitable contributing of Jeroen Bongers (bass) and the explosive expression of Martin Vonk (drums).
