Amaranthe is a Swedish heavy metal band originally formed under the name Avalanche. The band is known for combining multiple metal subgenres and for using three lead vocalists.

The project was formed in 2008 by Olof Mörck (Dragonland, Nightrage) and Joacim “Jake E” Lundberg (Dreamland, Dream Evil).
