Billy Ghost is a songwriter and producer from Beresford, South Dakota who now lives in Chicago. He frequently cites his musical inspirations as "someday owning a dog", Muppets, his "hardcore Catholic" grandmother, and old noir films. Ghost loves the color purple and once told actor Val Kilmer that Ghost's own blood was actually purple. Though unverified, Ghost repeated this claim to an AP wire reporter in Wall, SD who refused to publish the story but instead tweeted the puzzling encounter.
