CPG stands for Coitus Punk Group.
CPg was on the most important bands of the early eighties Hungarian punk scene and it was formed by Zoltán BenkÅ‘ in 1979. The group was formed in Szeged and four years later in 1983 three of the members were imprisoned as their lyrics were qualified anti-communist and anti-Soviet by the government. Also, trying to lump CPg under the 'fascist' title, the rumor was spread in the Party and between journalists that CPg actually meant CigánypusztÃtó Gépezet (Gipsy-Destroying Machine). [read more...]
