Rasa is a folk group from Riga, Latvia, formed in 1989 by Valdis Muktupāvels (vocals, bagpipes, kokle, accordion, trumpet, reeds, pan flute, drums), Kristīne Cābele (vocals, violin, kokle), Iveta Tāle (vocals, kokle), Andris Veismanis (vocals, zither, flute, ocarina, pan flute, drums), Gita Lancere (vocals, violin). The name Rasa means "dew" in Latvian. They released one album in 1995 called "Latvia - Music Of Solar Rites" on the Inedit label. [read more...]
