Erlend Viken comes from a known folk music family in Oppdal/Norway. He started playing fiddle when he was 6 years old, and his father, Erik Sverre, was his first teacher. Erlend also play hardingfiddle, and on this instrument he has specialized in traditional music from Valdres.
