Artist Info: From Solid Ground

From Solid Ground is an instrumental, experimental rock band from Holland. It was formed in October 2008. The band members are guitarist Roel Hovenga and drummer Romar de Bonte.

The band started by just jamming every week at Romar's garage and eventually they started writing some songs. The band name was chosen by an internet Poll.

The main influences of the band are Jimi Hendrix, The Mars Volta, Red Hot Chili Peppers, AC/DC, PJ Harvey, John Frusciante, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Joy Division and many more. [read more...]
