Jazzkantine is a German jazz rap band from Braunschweig. The group was founded in 1994 by Ole Sander, Matthias Lanzer and Christian Eitner. Their musical style combines elements of jazz, funk and rap, and they have collaborated with artists such as Smudo, Götz Alsmann and bands including Such a Surge.

In 1994, the band released its self-titled debut album "Jazzkantine" ("Jazz Canteen"), which led to a contract with BMG Hamburg and chart success. [read more...]
