Artist Info: Karl Madis

Karl Madis was born in 1959 in Tallinn. In 1984 he graduated from saxophone-class of the music-school named by Georg Ots, his teacher there was Aleksander Rjabov.

Karl’ s phenomenal music-career started from his first ever performance in the Estonian Television in May of 1979. Followed a little pause because the two years spent in the army. After the army, in 1981 a band called Mahavok was formed along with famous musicians – Karl Madis, Heini Vaikmaa, Kalev Aas, Peeter Oronon, Raul Arras, Kristjan Kirme and Sven Himma. [read more...]
