Artist Info: Ladybaby

Ladybaby is a Japanese kawaii metal musical group that originally consisted of models Rie Kaneko and Rei Kuromiya, along with Ladybeard, the cross-dressing persona of Australian professional wrestler Richard Magarey. The group is known for combining idol pop aesthetics with metal-influenced instrumentation and extreme vocal styles.

The project began after Magarey, originally from Adelaide, Australia, moved to Hong Kong in 2006 to pursue stunt and wrestling work, where he developed his Ladybeard persona. [read more...]
