Artist Info: R Grunwald

R Grunwald is a pianist, keyboardist and composer from Toronto, Canada. His debut album, Oma (2020) was a Satie-esque solo piano work: a collection of "extended minimalist" compositions inspired in part by the life story of his 96-year-old grandmother, a Holocaust survivor and pianist.

His sophomore album, Iterations (2024), expands on debut. Like that record, it will appeal to fans of people like Nils Frahm, but it is also an aesthetic blossoming. [read more...]
