He is one of the leading sitar players of his generation.(born 14 October 1955)
Ustad Shahid Parvez was a child prodigy who began receiving instruction from his father in singing and tablas at the age of three, and sitar at the age of four. His style has been influenced by his father's cousin, famous musician Ustad Vilayat Khan.
