Artist Info: Sidiki Camara

Sidiki Camara was born in Bamako, Mali. He now lives in Oslo, Norway where he performs and teaches traditional Malian percussion. His new Sidiki Band has performed several times in the Oslo area and his fans are hoping that a new CD is soon forthcoming ! He also plays percussion for Kohinoor.

Sidiki is regarded as one of the leading contemporary percussionists from Mali. He is also considered one of the founders of the modern current of Manding music. [read more...]
