Sillaba is a project born from the collaboration between the Senegalese musician Maher Cissoko and the Swedish musician Andreas Unge . Maher Cissoko is a kora player from one of the most famous kora playing families in Senegal, whose knowledge has been passed from generation to generation through more than 700 years. As well as recording albums as a solo artist, he is also one half of the successful duo Sousou and Maher Cissoko and has toured extensively around Africa, North America and Europe, including at festivals like Glastonbury and Womad.
