Steve Coleman and Metrics was a project of jazz saxophonist Steve Coleman working in a hip-hop mode. The group has been responisble for two albums, A Tale of Three Cities and The Way of the Cipher, both from 1995. Lyricists for the project were Sub-Zero, Kokayi, Utasi, Shahliek, Black Indian, and Black Thought.
