The Bumble Bees were a beat/garage band from The Hague, The Netherlands, who released three 7-inch singles in 1966-67. Another of pop enterpreneur Paul Acket's signings, The Bumble Bees started out as Mariska & The Bumble Bees, Mariska being Mariska Veres, who would in 1970 top the American Billboard Hot 100 as the singer of Shocking Blue.
The Bumble Bees' line-up consisted of Jim ten Boske (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Joop Lelieveld (guitar, vocals), Rene Bakker (bass) and Nico Overgaauw (drums). [read more...]
