Artist Info: The Quartet

The Quartet - one of the best european jazz bands, was founded in 1977 by the top polish jazz musicians:
Sławomir Kulpowicz - p
Tomasz Szukalski - ts, ss, bcl
Janusz Stefański - dr
Paweł Jarzębski - db

The Quartet was the first polish formation playing at New Yorks Village Vanguard.
The formation didn't survive the martial law (1981).

Reactivated in 2005. In 2008 Sławomir Kulpowicz died of cancer.
