In the three years since the passing of his master, SAGA Kazami, the talented, versitile and very personable RYU Kannaduki, has taken on a new composing/performing persona: Aughtsider / 毎朝数千の天使を殺してから. Under the former name k-ryu (also a artist), he recorded the albums "The Book of Boyhood" (2006), "Message from Innocent World" (2007), "Cicada: Lost Birth" (2010) and many singles for his label, Studio Tomato. Whether composed under the name Aughtsider or k-ryu, his tracks are an imaginative, original fusion of pop, jazz and anime soundtrack styles.
Now preferring a simpler sound (piano solos, singing with the piano or guitar, etc.), he says "I would like to play music like praying." He is a popular performer at clubs in Tokyo and has a new album, "Sonnets for a Prayer" coming in October 2010, (which can be previewed at his other Aughtsider site on (click above) or heard in full at http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/2947141).
