There are at least two artists called David Dunn.

1. David Dunn is at once an ecologist, a philosopher, a member of the 'new science', a performer, an integrator of human values with technological ones, and an artist.

David is a composer; —to be sure a composer of 'music', and the 'musical'. But more significantly, David is a composer as in 'making', 'searching', `exploring', 'finding', 'synthesizing', 'questioning'. Yes, endless questioning. He strives, (as certain others do), to not box things in; to not assume that so-called "areas", "disciplines", (e.g., as between music and linguistics), can be bounded as-if they signify mutually-exclusive domains.


2. David Dunn creates pop/rock songs with vocally driven melodies and unique lyrics that stick in your head after just one listen. The vocal lines soar over catchy guitar riffs, melodic keyboards and a solid foundation of pop and r&b beats to form a unique new sound ready to be discovered.

David Dunn began seriously playing music in Lubbock, TX where he played the acoustic circuit while educating his inner nerd at Texas Tech University where he earned a currently un-used Engineering degree. During his senior year, Dunn completed his first full-length album and promptly headed off to Zambia, Africa for a year+ of humanitarian and mission work.

Upon receipt of a parting gift from the African mosquito (a fun case of malaria), David moved back to the US and partnered with a college ministry in Oklahoma City and began work on his second album; David Dunn EP. His second record broke away from the acoustic rock sound that made up his previous album, Eye Sore, to a more mainstream/radio friendly feel. With lyrical content that encompasses, in David’s own words, “things I care about”, David hopes his work meets people where they are, invites them to take note of reality, and encourages them to overcome life’s issues.

David Dunn continues traveling, performing, and using music to connect with friends, new and old. He is set to release a new full length CD in 2011 that he promises will “blow everyone away”.
